5 ball drill

by eymard
(haines, fl, usa)

This tennis drill is very easy to do and very effective especially for singles and, for intermediate and advanced players.

Player should prepare from the baseline center mark. Pro feeds 5 balls to the player, it can be forehand / backhand or all forehand or all backhand, defending on player's ability and/or on what the pro would want his/her player to improve.

Player should hit 5 good shots in a row, singles court and should pass the service line, otherwise he/she will go back to 0 (zero) whenever a shot is missed.

The pro can then increase the number of balls to give to his/her player. This is to improve their ability to focus on every shot.

It is also effective in building stamina plus consistency and nerves practice.
