What Can You Learn From Andy Murray And Gilles Muller October 05, 2008 |
| Hi, Have you missed the last issue of the TennisMindGame newsletter? So did I. ;) My laptop died after 4 years and it took me a week to research, order and get a new one. Therefore I apologize for a missing newsletter issue and hope that the improved technology will serve me (and you) for at least 4 more years without any hickups... -------------------------------- This time I focused more on Andy Murray and you'll find an article about him on the main site and on the blog... Andy has been slowly but surely climbing the rankings for the last few years and he is now at #4 in the ATP Champions Race. So how did Andy get here and what can you learn from him? Andy Murray - A New Tennis Star
-------------------------------- a) If you haven't seen the match between Murray and Nadal then you have missed a great demonstration of how smart tactics can win against big hitting. I've shared my thoughts on the Murray - Nadal match and why Andy won with relative ease: 4 Tennis Tactics Murray Used To Outplay Nadal b) Another interesting story from this year's US Open was the run of Gilles Muller. You may not know his name but he's been on a tour for quite some time and has had some very good results in the past. But what Muller achieved at this Us Open is definitely worth reading and thinking about: Gilles Muller And His Incredible Run At The US Open 2008 --------------------------- There are two more tennis websites I would like to recommend to you in this issue: 1. Sportsvite Tennis - Sportsvite helps you find other tennis players in your area. You can search by age, gender or ability. You can also recruit them to your Tennis team in a league, set up a pick-up game or just set up a group. Or, you can see if they're already active in tennis, then maybe you can join their games! 2. Fuzzy Yellow Balls - FYB is an instructional website where you can access lots of free videos and articles, they only ask for your email. I've checked many of their pages and even gave them a testimonial that they published on their homepage. A must bookmark site! The next issue of TennisMindGame newsletter will include an article about a tennis player who came all the way from Turkey to Slovenia to learn tennis with the left hand since tennis elbow problems prevented him from playing with his right hand! Talk to you in two weeks! Best, Tomaz ----------------------------------------- SPORTNO SVETOVANJE |
