At what age to start playing?

by AGRISH SHARMA
(PUNJAB)

I am 14 years of age. I am often told that I have started a bit late. I want to be a champion.

Am I really late? What is the best age to start at?

Late. So?
by: Joe

Yes you are getting a late start, but so what? Why let that stop you from developing your game as much as you can? And who knows? "Rules" were made to be broken. Maybe when you win Wimbledon for the first time, the sportscasters will comment on how your success is even more amazing due to your late start. :-)

It's never too late
by: Nick

If your looking to become ranked in the top 100's then probably not...

But if you want to have a good time playing and/or compete in tournaments then it's never too late =) (there is a 90 and over division [!])

Thanks Joe
by: AGRISH SHARMA

I am thankful to you for inspiring me.
You were right that you never know.
But the problem is that here some players reduce
their age in order to play the lower age category . Like if the player is 18 years
he will be playing under 14 category.
This is the problem
