I have this fear of being hit on the face most of the times I come to the net. Mostly this happens when I am playing doubles. Please give me some guideline to overcome this fear.
You haven't said whether you have been hit in the face in the past or not.
If you have been hit, then it's normal to be afraid of that.
But what you need to do first in your mind is to realistically assess the probability of that happening again.
I personally have never been hit in the face and have been playing for over 20 years. I do remember seeing it once but it's a VERY RARE situation.
Even if the ball would go towards your face your reflex would make you turn the head away.
So first think how incredible small chance of that happening is. It's probably the same as ending up in a car crash and yet we sit in our cars every day and we're not afraid of the accident.
Second, you'll need to come to the net, experience the fear and realize that it was wrong - since you didn't get hit.
The more you come to the net, the more you'll prove your fear wrong and the less power it will have over you.

I have been hit once on the face. but it is the reason for my fear. Every time I play doubles I see myself standing at the net and my opponent whacking the ball right at my face and I not being able to defend that.
