Catching short and long with one or two hands

by Lior
(Red bank, NY, USA)

Based on your "Spanish drill", this drill is for young children to help them judge short and deep bounces.

Student can start at the T, instructor feed short balls and deep balls while student has to catch ball on 1, 2 or 3 bounces.

You can mix feed. Ask student to catch with 2 hands, only with right hand etc..

Students can throw the ball they are catching to a target on the opposite side of the court with their dominant or non-dominant hand.

This drill has coordination, hand eye, movements, direction and decision making.
