Fear of not playing as well as I want to or can. And fear of my opponent thinking I'm weak

I get scared that no matter what I do it won't work on the court. That I'm not good enough to play well. This then causes me to be scared of the ball, and I get tight. When these feelings come up, I feel very lost and unfocused. Out of control.

I know where your coming from with your fear and anxiety on court.

First off props for going to TennisMindGame to look for answers. Tomaz's section on the mental game is very useful by deeply discussing the mental difficulties that tennis poses for everyone.

Mental fear and anxiety can come from a lot of sources. It's difficult to determine where it's coming from without serious self-reflection.

Most of my knowledge about the mental game has been learned from this website. Therefore I strongly advise you to take a look and apply the mental game strategies that Tomaz offers.

That is of course If you haven't already : )
