how to combat defensive players

I am not a rated player but have been playing for a few yrs and I might add that I am above average player, most opponents tend to play good defense against my power ground strokes...

My point is; in longer the rallies my chances decrease cause of my wanting to hit clear winners.

What should I do to avoid getting impatient?
