I Will Beat Them All
by Cristina Zolog
(Germany (born in Romania))
I am Cristina, 28, from Cluj, Romania. My destiny brought me in Germany ... cause I am a doctor, an orthopaedist.
I decided to come here, for my specialisation ... just so ...
When I start something, I wanna take it to the end. I wanna do things properly, as best as I can.
I am alone, in a stranger country...
Tennis... I have regrets about tennis. I started when I was 7 years old. I trained 6 years, then I abondonned. For school.
My parents wanted me to learn, even that my trainer told them... "She has talent, let her play".
I have regrets, but thats it, thats destiny. Who knows where I would have been now if i would have continued to play...
But anyway... I am alone in this country, in this small town. I saw a tennis court one day. But I told to myself... with who should I play?
I dont have any partner... I simply went there and asked... "I dont know anybody here... but I wanna play tennis."
The trainer said... "Come on Sunday and play with Janina, the women trainer." I came, played. They liked me. They chose me to play in their team.
And now... I train 2 times a week with the team, and Sundays I train alone, my service.
At the beginning, I could beat only one of the girls. I didn't have any practice. Now... the trainerin beats me hard.
I work hard, I improve my service, I see that I can...
Impossible is nothing is a known slogan, but is mine also. Till March, I will beat the trainerin also:))...
I will train, I will study videos on the Internet, so I can see where I make mistakes...
I wanna help the team, so we beat the opposite teams in championship.
But what is good for me... I returned to my old passion, I made friends and I dont feel myself so alone here, so far from home.
Impossible is nothing,
