Maybe doubles are boring to you or you don't know all the interesting tactics that you can play in doubles. Doubles are also not so interesting to juniors since most of the time you just rally cross court and perhaps someone poaches once per set. ;) Good doubles players have many different tactics to outsmart their opponent and it's this "who is smarter" game that makes doubles interesting. Watch some high level doubles and try to figure out all the different tactics and plays they do and then practice them. Once your "database" of doubles tactics is bigger, you'll also appreciate and enjoy the complexity and challenge of tennis doubles.
