Santoro drill

by Rasmus Kaarre
(Finland)

Fabrice Santoro

Fabrice Santoro

This drill is played by two players. You can start with a serve or just putting the ball in play.

The court is divided in four sections, the first two sections is from the net to the service line and the next two is from the service line too the baseline.

And of course the four sections are divided by the line in the middle.

Okay here's the deal. Both players start playing and every shot has too be in another section.

This is an exelent drill too practise mixing up your game, just like Santoro.

First you can practice the drill and then you can start playing points.

I am sorry, but your instruction is not quite clear to me. Do you mean you cannot hit a ball to the same section two times in a row ? Or, you cannot hitting into the same section again until the 5 th ball?

Thanks.

You can't hit the ball two times in a row in the same section. But during the point you can hit in the same section aslong it isn't two times in a row.

Thanks for a fun drill to add to our selection! I teach park and rec classes during the summer. This is going to be great for kids who are moving into intemediate levels of play.
