Slow down on your serve

by Dave Kayll
(Mumbles)

Hi Everyone,

I recently found out that my serve was OK during a match. Even verging on reliability, as I was only broken twice in a three set match.

But the one deciding factor that gave it that inner confidence to place it and put spin etc. was by the simple act of slowing the whole process down until the required racket head speed.

Stop! and breath and just go into slow motion, even on your toss. Then attack the ball with blind conviction.

It works and you look good too even if it just misses. This can also add to your confidence which will increase the success rate.

Good Luck.

OH! I lost the match in question but it was nothing to do with my serve!!!
