by Alec Baskerville
(Austin ,TX, United States)

There is a kid my son has to play, and he knocks the crud out of the ball.

My kid is 10 playing against 12 year olds. What should he do?

Change the pace !

Just slice it, hit high loopy balls, just push it etc. to change the pace, which will frustrate the big banger into mistakes !

appropriate level of development
by: Walter

Hi,

If your kid has lots of these encounters, then he should play in his category, so he can develop his skills at a better pace and also this will be beneficial for his self image and confidence!

Anyways, he has to play the best he can and try to enjoy himself regardless of the score!

Good luck
