why is my level changing so often?

Yesterday I played a tournament in my club and beat one of the best players.

Today I got onto the court for another tournament full of self confidence against someone that's not so good, did well in practice and lost 4:0.

I was really upset and I have no idea how it happened why it happened, and how to make it not happen in the future.

it happens. Did you sleep well the night before?
You might have a mild cold and feel sluggish.

there was no reason for it

I slept well the night before, I got there with a lot of confidence, I got onto the field with confidence, the warm up went well, but when we started playing I made a lot of unforced errors.

It isn't

It depends on what you mean by a "tournament" in your club. Is it just match play against people in your "group"? Or is it an official tournament in your section?

Either way if it's at your group or your match play level you are going to have some ups and downs. If your in the right group/level you should have competitive matches and maybe win a few tournaments, but your not going to win "all" of them or lose all of them.

Even a person that seems "easy" in a competitive group should still have a chance to win, hence your loss.

-Hope you win some more, Nick
