Winning isn't everything

by gt
(fitu)

It was my first year in high school and my first year on girls varsity tennis. I had been doing ok in my matches winning some losing some, but one match i will remember forever.

I was playing a girl who was a senior. I had been calling some of her balls out and she was getting mad, i don't mean frustrated i mean, she was mean. She was smashing balls at me almost hit me in the head, said i never played before, and always challenging me on the called balls.

In my mind i told myself i cannot let this girl beat me after the way she treated me. On the last point she served and it was out, she still had her second serve, but just gave up.

I had won, winning hadn't been much because i was just getting my feet wet i was having fun, but this match meant a lot keep your head in the game and have fun, winning isn't everything:)
